Amy Collins

Listen:

I met Amy Collins at the Writer’s Digest conference last summer in New York City. We were both speakers at the conference and both of us teach for Writer’s Digest.  I was captivated by Amy’s energy, presence, and passion for working with writers and knew I had to have her on the podcast.

I’m so delighted for you to get a sense of what having someone in your corner, like Amy can bring to a writer’s career.

We are both at the Erma Bombeck Writer’s Conference this week, and I plan to do a post about that when I’m back. But you can also follow on social media where I post on instagram.

In This Episode:

• Amy’s genre picks and why they work for her/her clients [3:59]
• The number one tool Estelle recommends her students use to research agents [6:02]
• The genre Amy finds tricky to work in and why [9:37]
• Her most successful books [11:55]
• Red flags that Amy notices before she signs someone [21:05]
• The specific areas Amy can assist when working with contracts and during the negotiation process [24:17]
