Bobbi Rebell

Listen:

I met Bobbi Rebell when we both got invited to speak at Mom 2.0 a few years before the pandemic. We shared a cab to the airport, and a friendship was born. Bobbi has been there for me in so many ways: she encouraged me when I was thinking of writing a book, she gave me advice on starting a podcast (her own has over 1M views), and she interviewed me at my book launch party (which I wrote about on my blog and later for Writer’s Digest). She is a true friend, and a talented broadcaster, author and business professional in the financial media industry. She is someone I am proud to have in my corner, as I’m in hers.

In This Episode:

  • The benefit of starting your story with a hook [3:09
  • Going from interviewing experts to becoming an expert [7:36]
  • Navigating covering a fraught topic like money in your book [7:36]
  • Her pivot from journalist to author [10:53]
  • Writing about family in your book and the challenge of sharing their voices [13:57]
  • Bobbi’s favorite tips for organizing her writing/writing time [21:19]
