The “Boom” in Parties

By Estelle Sobel Erasmus

I’ve gone to several fantastic events in the few months held by BOOMBox Network.

With the effervescent Audrey of  Boombox Network in Chicago at the B(l)oomers party.

Most recently, I attended a party at Foxcroft25, which offers a range of fashions, including no iron shirts. I’ve always hated ironing, and make it a point never to buy anything that I have to iron (goodbye linen). Funny story: when I met my husband he spent hours ironing his shirts for work. These days he only buys no iron shirts himself. I think my dislike of ironing really rubbed off on him. The Wine Sisterhood was there to offer a bit of the vino, and I met some really cool ladies I had connected with via the site Generation Fabulous.

BOOMBox Network also had a party in Chicago at the stunning Catalyst Ranch, where I got to sample aromatic herbal elixirs from ALTATco, do an iphone scavenger hunt with QR codes courtesy of Ruth at CaptCruncher, eat delicious Fat Boy cookies, and hang out with amazing women, like Lisa Belkin, who I’m a huge fan of.

Me and Lisa Belkin of the Huffington Post. Doesn’t it look like she loves and adores me:)

I also received samples of Theraderm skincare, and wise advice from health expert EllenDolgen.  I was lucky enough to win a FoxCroft blouse  (I opted for a white one). The gals at Boombox Network were so sweet and let me place a flyer for Mothers & More in their gift bag.

I love BOOMBox Network, and think it does a great job of offering opportunities to discover new and useful products, fashions, skincare and health items for midlife mammas like me.

The gang’s all here: Sandy, Audrey, Me, Jennifer, Darlene and Cathy

What was the last great party you went to?

  1. Well, you know my favorite recent parties were the ones I attended with YOU! Partly because of BOOMBOX, partly because the women of GenFab and partly because of YOU!

I will chauffeur you next time to an event in NYC (or anywhere) but for now I want to say thanks for the memories, and I’d love to see how you look in your new Foxcroft.

P.S. I love the dress the “model” was wearing at Foxcroft. You would look fabulous in it!

  2. Sounds like a lot of fun! On a side note, my hubby used to iron all the time. Even his undershirts! That was before kids though. 🙂

Visiting from SITS Sharefest. Happy Saturday!

    1. Jennnifer, That’s so funny that he used to iron his undershirt. Yes, kids change everything, even the need to iron:)

    1. Hi Darlene,
It was a pleasure meeting you and taking pics with you. I’m still waiting for the right fit; the size wasn’t quite right.
